B) Save the Worksheet to your PC.
Save the Worksheet in a directory where you can find it.
The DESKTOP or MY DOCUMENTS directories usually work well.
C) Complete the Income section.
Use your SMALLEST take home paycheck for the last year. Do not include overtime, shift premium, or bonuses. Only 1 entry per line is needed.
If you're paid weekly, enter your number in the Weekly column.
If you're paid monthly, enter your number in the Monthly column.
D) Complete the Debt Expenses section.
Make an entry for each debt item. The balance due is not needed, just the monthly or regular payment.
Enter your payment(s) in the appropiate column(s).
E) Complete the Vehicle Expenses section.
You know that vehicles need maintenance and repairs. This is the place to start planning for those expenses. The spreadsheet has some guidelines to help you.
F) Complete the Known Regular Bills section.
This section is for all other bills that you know about. Don't forget those annual bills like vehicle road tax. If it's a recurring bill that's NOT related to debt ... put it here. For utilities, use the LARGEST bill you've had in the last 12 months. If you don't know exactly how much the bill is for ... guess. Something is better than nothing.
G) Total Known Expenses.
Nothing to fill in here. This is a total of the Debts and Bills sections. This number shows how much you spend on all of your known recurring expenses.
H) Left for Savings and Living.
This number shows how much you have leftover for Savings and for your Daily Living, after all of your financial obligations have been accounted for.
I) Complete the Planned Savings section.
If you already have the bank do an automatic transfer to a savings account, enter those transfers here. If you don't already have this set up; don't enter anything here. This worksheet is to show ... where you are ... not where you want to be.
J) Left for Daily Living
This number shows how much you have leftover for your Daily Living.
K) Complete the Daily Living section.
You don't really need to do this section ... however, it is helpful for you to fill it in, so you'll know where your money is going.
Congratulations!   You're now finished with the hardest part of automating your money management. Now you’re on your way to gaining control of your finances. Your next step would be to implement the Complete TABS System and set the stage for the stress relief.
