Bankruptcy - Should I, or Not

NOTE: This bulletin is simply the author's personal opinion.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion. This is mine.

I'm can't make my payments. Should I file bankruptcy?

Basically; if you have debt ... you qualify to file bankruptcy.

That doesn't mean you Should. 83% of bankruptcies ... FAIL!

Once again this goes into ... be careful -WHO- you're talking to. There are many attorneys out there, who are willing to take your filing fee. Remember, they make money by processing your paperwork. NOT by get you out of financial trouble.

We've run into several people who have had their bankruptcy -dismissed- because they didn't make their other debt payments ... along with their bankruptcy payment!!
    WAIT A MINUTE !
Filing bankruptcy will add a payment to my list ??
        YES !
If you can't make your debt payments now, what makes these attorneys think you'll be able to make those payments after adding another payment!
    ???
How difficult can this be to understand?

Appearently, some attorneys really are that stupid ... or ... they're that greedy that they're willing to take the little money you have, and leave you to the vultures. (To any attorneys out there, remember, this bulletin is my opinion. And I'm entitled to an opinion.) My opinion is that some attorneys, not all ... but some, are worse than thieves. By sitting behind their desk and -pretending- to help you; when they know in their minds that bankruptcy won't help you. The only thing those attorneys are doing, is lining their own pocket with processing fees.

So, should you, or shouldn't you. I really can't answer that ... because ... I don't know your particular situation. I don't know your Income, Expenses, or Debts. What I do know is that 83% of bankruptcies fail. That doesn't speek well of putting up with the hassle and expense of going through the process. I say ... if at all possible ... don't.

So let's address the real problem. You're having trouble paying your bills.

Either you lost income, or the total bills crept up on you through mis-management. (sorry for being so blunt) In either case, you might stand a chance if only you knew your true financial picture.

Now, I really do hate to get into a sales pitch in these bulletins, but your situation is exactly why this web site is here. Educating you on how to manage your money, is what we're all about.

Our FREE financial worksheet will show you exactly what your financial picture looks like. It won't cost you anything. You don't have to sign up for any service.

Do the work sheet.
At the end of the worksheet is a section called - Left for Daily Living.
If you think
you can live on what is shown
or, you should be able to live on what is shown
or, you MIGHT be able to live on what is shown
then you desperately need our TABS Tab-1 product.

If you can cut some expenses and/or get a second job to increase your income; then please do. AND you still need our TABS Tab-1 product.

If you think there's no chance you can live on what is shown; AND you can't cut any expenses. (come on, you don't NEED cable TV, internet, cell phones for each family member, or a coffee latte every day) then you need to find some good financial help. No matter what they tell you, our TABS Tab-1 will help incoporate their strategy.

If you're considering bankruptcy .. then you've lost control.

You need to take back that Control.

Stop ALL unnessessary spending.
If it's not basic food, basic clothing, basic transportation, shelter, or health care ... then you don't NEED it. You don't need to eat at restauants. You don't need $100 blue jeans. You don't need a new car. You don't need a new TV, DVD, or CD. You certainly don't need an iPhone. Consider a pre-paid cell phone for portable emergency service. Just $10 a month gets your service. And just like the old days, you can borrow a phone for any NON-emergancy calls.

Stop borrowing money for anything.
If you have to buy something, why do you want to pay more than it's price? SAVE for those purchases. Let interest work for you, not against you. If you think you have too much money, please donate all extra to me. Chances are you won't do that. Yet, every year, you'll give away hundreds to the total straingers who own the bank.

Start saving for those unexpected expenses.
Yes, they're unexpected. Yet, you do know, that you're going to have them. So those expenses aren't really unexpected. They are unknown amounts, at an unknown time, expenses. You know they're coming. So start saving for them now. No point in paying more than you have to. Let interest work for you, not against you.

It's not the end of your life. Although you are responsible for your situation, it's not totally your fault. Chances are you weren't taught how to manage money. In todays world, I'm supprised it doesn't happen to almost everyone. Then again, in todays world, it almost looks like we're headed that way.
